Day 30: Couch to 5k Week 4, Day 3 & The Abs Diet Book
I have two things to be proud about… first off, I’ve exercised for 30 days and it’s been logged here. Second, I’ve completed Week 4 of the Couch to 5k training program! Running definitely helps when you’re not in a good mood. There’s some issues at work, and I totally took out my frustration by running. I’m really getting used to running longer and when it comes down to it, running 5 minutes straight really isn’t much.
The other day, I started reading The Abs Diet by David Zinczenko. I’ve had this book for a while, started reading it, but then stopped reading it. So I started over and this book is already sparking my interest a lot. I know I mentioned that I believe diets don’t work, but this book is pretty much about eating healthy and making it part of my lifestyle. If you really think about it, a diet really doesn’t work because most people go on a ‘diet’ like Atkins, South Beach, etc… and when they see results, they go back to their normal eating habits. The whole point of the Abs Diet is that it teaches you how to eat healthy and keep at it. I anticipate that after reading and applying the advice in this book that I won’t even want those junk foods anyway, just like I’ve already been for a while now. There is even a day you can eat whatever you want, but for one meal to ‘treat’ yourself a week… but I’m sure eventually everyday will end up being a treat because you’re putting good food into your body and with exercise combined, you’ll see a difference in your body, moreso in your midsection area, which I’m sure we all want. I know I do!
It will definitely be good reading on the flight over to California, which is tomorrow afternoon. Work has been pretty stressful and because my boyfriend wants to take a vacation before entering the work world (he just graduated from college) we decided to get away from our normal lives. We’re going to visit Los Angeles and San Diego and just see the sights and of course visit the beaches.
I won’t be gone from this blog, as I will try my best to squeeze some posts. ![]()

I would like to know your opinion on The Abs Diet when you’re done reading it. Have fun on your vacation - sounds like fun!

Hehe. I’ve been reading that too (ok, skipping around to the good parts), got it from the library. It has some pretty useful info and exercises.

The abs diet book worked for me. It actually helped me past my weight loss plateau.
