So today is finally Friday and lucky for me, I got a day off from my day job. I decided to go to the place where the 5k is going to be held and did a 2.75 mile run. I’m not exactly sure how exactly the 5k course is set up like but at least I have a general idea of the conditions that I will face. I got to the park around 7:30am and finished by 8:00am and the air was really moist and humid, but luckily not as hot. But anyway, I’m really excited and of course nervous but all I can really do is do the best I can and just finish the race.
I’ll definitely update all of you with my results and whatnot but for now here are what other fitness bloggers are posting about in the blogosphere:
YoungGoGetter.com has this really good overall post about fitness and dieting for those who have busy schedules that I found to be interesting. I totally agree with the fact that we all have to eat, so why not feed yourself something that is good for you rather than something that isn’t.
Trying Fitness posts methods for lacing up your running shoes. Today as I was running one of my shoelaces kept untying itself and not only does it slow you down because you have to crouch down to tie it, but it can totally be prevented by tying your laces in a way that they won’t undo themselves. This post caters to different feet types which I was never aware of.
Real Women’s Fitness has an interesting post about the benefits of waking up early every day. I would totally like to do this because it would be easier to work out in the morning and have more time to relax in the evenings. I know that it’s going to take a while to get used to but this post gives me some kind of push to at least try it.
I love the social networking blog Mashable because they always come up with a collection of different types of sites. When I noticed this post I was excited because I love finding new fitness and health sites of all different types. You’ll definitely find some cool sites here that can help you with weight loss and health information.
Have a relaxing, healthy weekend and I’ll update you all on my first race result!
