I’ll admit that when it comes to food, I have a tough time eating what’s good for me. I’ve been getting better though. I pass when the suggestion to fast food comes up and I have been eating more fruits and veggies than potato chips and candy bars. I found this really good article from the website Traineo, which has already become one of my favorite sites.
In the article, there are several charts and list the best foods to eat on top, followed by good, inferior and no-no. I like how simplified these charts are because you can immediately identify what NOT to eat. There are three charts: Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats. I realized that you should eat carbs and fats, although in the past I tried to avoid them. You just need to know the right carbs and fats to eat, which are known as good carbs and good fat.
To check out the charts….

My favorite foods on this chart which are Superior are Fish such as Salmon, Tuna, Whiting and Mackerel; pumpkin seeds, almonds, and all the superior fruits! Thanks to this chart it will be easier for me to know what foods are better than others.

A diet high in protein, complex carbs, and good fats should put you well on your way to living a long and healthy life.
But dont forget that some food that are high on protein, fats and carbs have to be avoided. Its good to know how much of these you are getting but you should also look out for the “Glycemic index”.Foods like chips and pop corn have high amounts of protein, fats and carbs but dont get fooled they are good for your health…
