So I’ve decided to get back into running, and decided to run another 5k. I started running again today, this morning actually, and it wasn’t so bad. I did about 1.22 miles in 15:03 minutes. Yeah, not my personal best, but the fact that I was able to get up and push myself to run in the morning is something I’m personally proud about!
Anyway, I’ve decided to run a 5k again to get myself back into running after a long hiatus. The last time I ran a 5k was back in September, and I definitely pushed myself training back then. Knowing that I was able to do it, gives me the encouragement to get back into it.
Will I be following a training program? Yes. I did the Couch to 5K program last time, but this time I’ll be doing the 5k training program from Runners World. I decided to try something different.
The race is on February 16, so I have about 5 weeks. Now that I have the Nike + iPod, it’s going to be easier for me to track my runs, as well as cooler weather outside. I’m pretty excited, but at the same hope that I can train as I did (but better) again.

Good for you! Don’t stress too much about your time. The fact that you are out running again is a huge deal. Bravo!
Good to hear!
You’ll be in good shape for the 5k. You should plan on running one every month or two, and then be ready to move up to the 10k this Autumn…
