This morning I had initially planned on running, but I still felt tired and did some really low impact exercise for 15 minutes following Holly’s (from The Girls Next Door Workout DVD) Workout. I got the DVD about a week ago, and my overall thoughts of her workout is that it’s definitely okay, but nothing extraordinary. The workout consisted on an overall body workout – upper and lower body. The workouts are definitely easy for the person who hasn’t worked out in a while. I guess something is better than nothing, right?
After work I decided to go for a run, and ran with Glen around in his neighborhood. I definitely enjoy running outdoors rather than indoors, but the only thing about running at night is that it’s kind of scary! There are a lot of bushes, so you have to be aware of your surroundings. Anyway, he definitely helped me keep going, reminding to pace myself and concentrate on breathing. We ended up running 2.31 miles in 29:32, and after I ended the workout on my Nike + iPod, I was congratulated by Lance Armstrong (via iPod, lol) on my longest run.
I thought that was cool.

As for today’s food, for lunch I went to Whole Foods and had Salmon Teriyaki with brown rice and veggies and a Green Tea, and some (organic) Annie’s Mac and Cheese for dinner. I’m really trying to go more organic and eating fresh. I definitely need to read up more on what is better to eat than others. I’m open to any resources, online and off.
