Inspiration.
So I haven’t posted in a week, which in the blogging world is an eternity. My house is full of guests from up north and I’ve been busy spending time with them. After all, I don’t see them very often. We celebrated my Lola’s (what we call grandmother in Filipino) 90th birthday on Saturday, which is totally awesome. I wasn’t aware that she was 90, and it made me think about if I’ll ever reach that age. She told me that the other day she walked from my house to the clubhouse in my neighborhood, which is a pretty long block and I felt so happy. She must have done a lot throughout the years to stay healthy.
She truly is an inspiration to me. I’ll really miss her when she leaves to go back home!
I’ll be having guests here for a while, so its difficult to not eat what everyone’s eating since it’s there. But of course, I don’t indulge, which is key. So that’s what’s been going on and why I haven’t written for awhile… to all that’s reading this and visiting here, thanks! I really do appreciate it.
Hopefully I won’t be too long.

Happy Birthday to your Lola! Wow, I’ll bet she can tell some stories. What a powerful inspiration to still be up and walking down the block and back.
