Hey, Sue!
I love the blog. You are right about not resorting to pills for a quick fix.But for me it depends. If I have a cold and don't take Nighquill, I get really sick and miserable! But when it comes minor issues then you can't pay me enough to take a pill. And it's a very good advice to drink more water when you have a headache, because dehydration can lead to a lot of health problems, you might not even realize, like joint pain, fatigue, muscle stiffness, high blood pressure and so on. And if yo have headache you can also do some yoga breathing exercises. You can find a bunch of them online. They allow for more oxygen into your blood and brain and help with headache and tiredness.
cheers

thats right. You better take a rest than taking antibiotics and some medicines. It will make your body immune to it.

Good article - this is a point many health professionals are trying to get across these days. I think it's an older generation mindset that if you have a cold you must get antibiotics. When in reality medication will do nothing for the common cold - you need rest and fluids!

Totally agree with you Sue. I only go for meds when I am in absolute agony. I can get through the majority of colds with a regular supply of hot drinks :-)
