I’ve been wanting to go to the park for a while now, and finally was able to go to the park and do a workout today. Glen hates running and the idea of running to me wasn’t too appealing to me today, so we initially planned to just jog and walk mostly. But as we were putting out shoes on I saw our rollerblades and suggested we go rollerblading at the park. The park we went to is huge! It’s right down the road from our place and there are so many types of things you can do there. We went rollerblading around the lake and even up a hill, which was pretty challenging. We probably rollerbladed for about 20 minutes and then stopped by the kayak/pedal boat rentals and got their rental prices. Next weekend I really want to do either kayaking or pedal boating.
I was telling Glen how exercise shouldn’t be something you have to do, but something you want to do. I think the park is great to do different things, and even though it’s starting to warm up, as long as we have water, there’s no excuse really not to go. When Glen gets a bicycle, we can go biking as well. I can’t wait. I think I have a new found love for the park!
Anyone ever go kayaking and pedal boating? Let me know your experiences.

Kayaking is a good time; I get out on the lakes any time we visit our folks over the Summer since both my folks and my in-laws have kayaks and live right on a lake. Quite convenient.
I find it very interesting that your approach is that exercise is something that you should want to do. I personally do not like working out – but I enjoy recreational exercise! I feel that finding what will make people WANT to do something is more important than routine workouts
Though I don’t have any experience of kayaking and pedal boating, I would definitely try to go for that as soon as I get the chance do that. It’s really interesting…
