Two Out of Three Isn’t That Bad…

by Sue on January 24, 2010

So to summarize my workout goal for last week, it wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t that great either.  I felt pretty exhausted all week because of a very hectic work week.  I was able to workout two out of the three days I wanted to, and during both times, I just didn’t feel too great.  I either worked out too hard because I felt nauseous after wards or I am just really out of shape! This week, I will do my 3 workout week again and see if I do better!

By the way, Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred is a great workout, and I recommend that workout if you want to feel like you’re kicking some serious butt.  I recently found this great blog about fellow 30 Day Shredders like me, called Shredheads and it’s a great resource.

I could definitely learn from this post, “Sticking With Your Workout Routine!” Hopefully I’ll have better luck this week.

I know what you mean about working out so hard you feel nauseous. I sometimes get heartburn really bad during my workouts too. It happened most during the first 1-2 weeks, but it’s gotten better. Good luck this week! I’m sure you can do it. I need to work on getting all my workouts in too. It’s hard when you are dealing with hectic and/or stressful job.

    Take care – Heidi

    2 out 3 is great.

Better to take a llittle time off if you are not feeling great.

Yup I agree it is not bad if you work a little bit hard if you are into working out.. but to much working is bad so you better do not over do it.. and if you do want to work a little bit make sure you are feeling well to exceed on your normal work out..

Sigh…I just realized that I spelled “Shredheads” wrong. I’m so sad.

Please feel free to ignore that part.

Don’t scold yourself too much. Two out of three is wonderful! Everyone has days when they just don’t feel like doing anything, but you managed to workout twice, so in my book, that’s great progress. Keep up the good work and I hope you reach your goal for next week!

I like this workout too. I aimed for the 30 days straight but found after 5 days I became fatigued and wasn't able to use the heavier dumbells I started with on Day 1. I took 2 days off and then did a similar type circuit workout on the third day and feel strong again. I plan to use it regularly but probably no where near 30 days straight! It kind of annoys me that Jillian doesn't make the goals more clear in the intro of the workout.

    Hi Cindy,

I use lighter dumbells – 2lbs ones. It definitely helps you get used
to the actual form of the exercise, without feeling like the weights
are weighing you down so much. 30 days is hard, but you don't
exercise straight through. You get a break, or you can do something
to substitute, like a dance class (like Zumba). As long as you are
consistent with exercising, then you'll feel strong! Good luck to
you, and thank you so much for your comment and visiting the blog!
