The Big Picture

by Sue on June 11, 2010

I realize the importance of exercise and it has really gotten to me lately. It also has to do with the overwhelmness of life and the path I want to take with my life. There is nothing more that I want but to be happy and I feel fitness and health is a big part of that for me at least.

I’ve neglected it for too long and I’m tired of it. I’m tired of feeling crappy and out of shape. My main goal? To be happy in my skin as well as with what I am doing in life

Being happy has a lot to so with being healthy and if you’re not happy then you’re probably not healthy. If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. How I know is because I’m proof of it.

I started this blog almost 3 years ago and I don’t have much to show for it today which makes me sad. I haven’t been keeping with my goals and yo yo constantly. Im still young and hopefully one day I will become a parent. To teach myself and actually be healthy and happy will teach my children to be happy and healthy too. In a way, I am doing this for them. So what better time than now to start?

So tomorrow is Saturday and I have a couple things I want to do, goals if you will. I want to go swimming and do laps as my intro to exercising again. another thing is to keep up with the online program I just joined. I’ll fill in about that later but the most important thing is to actually achieve these two things tomorrow.

BTW, I just typed this post all on my iPhone and it’s pretty cool doing so!

Heres what I am doing now.

    - On this thing called the Poon Diet (weird name, I know) but essentially, its a Caveman diet. Meats, fish, nuts, vegetables above ground…. etc. No carbs! No rice! No breads! …..

    - As well, I got a personal trainer. I have sessions with him 1 hour on Monday and Friday. (He destroys my body to the point I can't move after).
    - Tied with that, I go to the gym MWF for at least half an hour of cardio, then an hour of various (MF being with the trainer) exercises.

My body is KILLING me and I have so far lost ……. ~15-18lbs? in 3 weeks…….
My goal is lose 40lbs and gain 7-8 lbs of muscle.

Maybe, if you get a personal trainer, they'll motivate you to go every MWF as well.
And…. stop eating rice…. I know we love it, but its SO bad for us!

You know what also, I just looked at your previous post.
You want motivation, then how about a competition, huh?
See who gets fittest the most huh? Judged by… our family?

I dunno, and you can post your results every 2 weeks, and I'll post mine in the comments.
Then we'll compare and motivate each other?

    What do you say?

That's actually a good idea. I'm happy that you are working out too,
that's awesome that you've lost all that weight in 3 weeks! I don't
know if I can afford a personal trainer, but I definitely have enough
workout videos to use. I don't know how we can compete, but the
    motivation is definitely cool. :)
