Working Out For Yourself, Not Others

by Sue on July 8, 2010

Another video blog!  I talk about working out for yourself, and no one else.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to get compliments about how you look if you lose weight, but you should think about the fact that you’re getting fit to be healthy.  And that’s the best feeling!

I am slowly getting the hang of just letting the words come out of my mouth.  It’s a work in progress ok? :)

This post was so inspiring! Thanks! I tend to use the “quickest” methods to losing weight… I eat less and exercise like a fanatic. I do this everytime a special event comes up! Then I gain it all back. I just want to be skinny for everyone else. But it's not about being skinny, it's just about being healthy & happy. Everything falls into place, weight wise, when you eat good nutritious things and you exercise when you can (when you have the energy). I never really thought to do it for myself, but I will. I'm going to jog in the AM! Thanks Susan!!

i love this. and cosign above, it's a great message, and it inspires me to do the same. i've been way out of shape after having my daughter, and i've just been feeling really icky inside lately, but i'm also careful to talk about my ickiness in a way that doesn't project any body image issues (for the sake of my little girl). it's very important to do these things for yourself, to feel good and not necessarily to look a certain way. more power to you susan!

Hey, good blog. I completely agree with you. For me I know I want to look good…But more than anything I want to feel good and satisfied with myself. Keep the videos coming!

I like video in blogs. It is easier to say, than type all those words. And this way more information are given. It is also true that most work out for others and not them selves, because they don't want others to judge their weight.
