I think many can relate when it comes to having patience. Some people have a lot of patience, while others just can’t wait a few minutes, followed by getting irritated. I feel that for me, I am for the most part in between. When it comes to things that I feel are pressing, I get irritated and antsy about the situation and eventually get upset.I realize that patience is really important when you’re taking care of a child. For example, this weekend, my husband and I took care of my nephew for the day, and as an energetic 1 year old, he was a handful. There were times I was unsure why he was crying and he was just all over the place! It was a good thing it was my husband, and myself because if it were just me, I’d be really irritated! Not at my nephew, but at the fact I couldn’t get him to stop crying at times. Of course, the situation made me realize I need to work on this type of patience because there will come a day when I become a parent to my own child and I won’t always have my husband to fall back on – especially if he’s at work.
The quote, “Patience is a Virtue” comes to mind whenever I think of how impatient I can be. Is patience something you have, or something you’re constantly working on improving?
