“Oiselle (pronounced wa-zell) alludes to the feeling of weightlessness that most runner’s know and love. That sense of flight- when your legs go fast and your heart goes free.”

When it comes to workout apparel, I’m pretty picky about the clothing I wear. I’m all about comfort, whether it be in workout clothing or just clothing overall, so when I was contacted by Sally Bergesen, owner of Oiselle Apparel, I was pretty stoked when she offered to send me some samples of the clothing. Not only is the apparel lightweight, it’s comfortable. I love how the shorts fit especially. It only makes sense that a runner, like Sally, knows how running clothing should be made. Comfort, high quality and a beautiful design is what Oiselle Apparel is all about, which makes workout clothing like this worth spending money on. There are some pretty cute tops coming out of their Spring line on March 15, so keep a look out for them!

You can buy Oiselle Apparel online or at selected retailers, which are listed on the website.

I had it for a few weeks, but I had to buy the Shoe Pouch since I don’t have a Nike Plus compatible sneaker.

Just place the Sensor on your shoe using a Shoe Pouch (you can get one through Amazon) if you don’t have a NikePlus compatible shoe and attach the receiver to your iPod. When the iPod is on, you will be prompted to what type of workout you’d like to do: by distance, time, calorie goal or even just an open ended workout. Once finished you’ll see your results. To get the results recorded on the site, you just need to connect your iPod to your computer and it will automatically record your run.

NikePlus.com is the site where you can view your progress, as well as interact with other NikePlus users. You can also set goals and even download music that you can use with the NikePlus as you run. I like the fact that it doubles as an iPod and a running tracker.

To see my results from my first day…I did 1.09 miles in 10:07. The downward spike is when I lost breath and walked. But it wasn’t long until I got back to running mode again.

I’m looking forward to seeing how I do this week in terms of running. Starting over after a long break is sure going to be tough, but the fact that my runs will be recorded give me more motivation to keep at it.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving break! It’s been a while since my last post, I really wanted to take advantage of the break and just relax. I was able to do some running which was good. The weather has been great lately for running so I wanted to take advantage of that. I even got my boyfriend into running more, so we go together on certain days and get to talk about our day with each other.

Now that I’m back to the grind of things, and also the fact that the holidays are pretty much here, I decided to do a fun post about the stuff that I would want for Christmas, fitness wise. There’s nothing like getting stuff for Christmas that will help you achieve your fitness goals, and of course the fun stuff too!

Here are my top 5 things I’d want for Christmas that is fitness related…

1.) Nike Gym Bag – This is totally cute!

2.) Nike + iPod Sport Kit – Definitely will help me with my running since I use my iPod when I go running. Can’t workout without music!

3.) Timex Zone Trainer Digital Heart Rate Monitor - This would be nice to have so I can monitor my heart rate when I work out.

4.) Whole Foods Gift Certificate! I love this supermarket. Maybe not fitness related but it’s healthy food!

5.) Nike Apparel – Can you tell I like the Nike brand?

I use an iPod when I work out at the gym, especially on the treadmill to keep me going. I use those iPod arm bands and it works for me. I recently found this shirt that is from Italy called iPolo and from the looks of it you place the iPod in the designated pocket, with holes for the screen and click wheel to access it. I went to their site but since it’s in Italian, I can’t get the complete details. Nonetheless, I thought it was interesting and convenient, but I’m not too sure I’m brave enough to wear this at the gym - it looks like it would weigh me down being that its in the shirt.

Would you wear this?
