My Goals

New Year, New Goals

I’ve deleted my stats and goals from last year because I want to set new goals for 2008. I’ve decided to set some specific goals because I’ve learned that making general goals are less likely to be followed.

This year I want to accomplish:

1. Losing weight. As of today, January 14, 2008, I am 116 pounds. I would definitely like to be 110 pounds in 6 months, which would be July 14, 2008. If I reached this weight before 6 months, then my goal is to stay this maintain this weight.

2. Run my way up. I don’t want to make empty promises, and say that I can run a marathon by November, like I want to. I’ve already ran 1 5k, and my next 5k is on February 16. From there, I just want to be able to run longer races and eventually, run a marathon.

3. A healthy diet. I’m currently reading, YOU on a Diet to learn more about the way I want to eat. But, I know I totally want to rule out fast food out of my diet.

Ever since I’ve gotten the Nike + iPod it’s a great help in my running. Every time I run, I take it with me and I can see how I ran that day, and look back at my past runs.
